حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: نَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ:

لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ قَالَ: يَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ، يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ، يَا صَفِيَّةُ عَمَّةَ النَّبِيِّ، يَا عَبَّاسُ، لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ مِنَ اللهِ شَيْئًا، سَلُونِي بَعْدُ مَا شِئْتُمْ مِنْ مَالِي

Translation

✧ When the verse "And warn your closest kindred" was revealed to the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "O Banu Hashim, O Banu Abd al-Muttalib, O Fatimah bt. Muhammad, O Safiyyah, paternal aunt of the Prophet, O Abbas, I own nothing for you from Allah. Ask me after this whatever you wish from my wealth."
