حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْكُوفِيُّ وَهُوَ الصُّوفِيُّ قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ قَالَ: نَا عَمْرُو بْنُ ثَابِتِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمِقْدَامِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:

أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَا وَالْحَسَنُ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ نِيَامٌ فِي لِحَافٍ، أَوْ فِي شِعَارٍ، فَاسْتَسْقَى الْحَسَنُ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى إِنَاءٍ لَنَا فَصَبَّ فِي الْقَدَحِ فَجَاءَ بِهِ فَوَثَبَ إِلَيْهِ الْحُسَيْنُ، فَقَالَ بِيَدِهِ فَقَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ: كَأَنَّهُ أَحَبُّهُمَا إِلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ: إِنَّهُ اسْتَسْقَى قَبْلَهُ، وَإِنِّي وَإِيَّاكِ وَهَذَيْنِ وَهَذَا الرَّاقِدَ فِي مَكَانٍ وَاحِدٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to us while I, al-Hasan, and al-Husayn were sleeping under a blanket, or perhaps under a cover. Al-Hasan asked for water, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up to our vessel and poured into a cup and brought it. Al-Husayn rushed to it, and he said with his hand, so Fatimah said: “It is as though he is more beloved to you than the other, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “He asked for water before him. I, you, these two, and this sleeping one will be in one place on the Day of Resurrection.”
