حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ:
كُلُّ عَمَلِ ابْنِ آدَمَ لَهُ الْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلَى سَبْعِمِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ، وَالصِّيَامُ هُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ، يَتْرُكُ الطَّعَامَ وَيَتْرُكُ الشَّرَابَ وَشَهْوَتَهُ مِنْ أَجْلِي، فَهُوَ لِي وَأَنَا أَجْزِي بِهِ

✧ Every deed of the son of Adam is his, a good deed multiplied ten times its like up to seven hundred times. But fasting is Mine, and I reward it: he leaves food, drink, and his desire for My sake. So it is Mine, and I reward it.
