وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ الْمَدَنِيُّ قَالَ: نَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ يَعْنِي الْعُرَنِيَّ قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لِيُبَايِعَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ أَثَرُ الْخَلُوقِ فَأَبَى أَنْ يُبَايِعَهُ فَذَهَبَ فَغَسَلَ عَنْهُ أَثَرَ الْخَلُوقِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَبَايَعَهُ

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ to pledge allegiance to him while he had traces of perfume on him. He refused to accept his pledge. The man went and washed off the traces of perfume, then came and pledged allegiance to him.
