✧ What Sa'id b. al-Musayyib narrated from Abu Hurayra

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ: نَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: نَا أَبِي، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ:

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَأَى عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ حُذَافَةَ صَلَّى فَجَهَرَ بِقِرَاءَتِهِ فَقَالَ: يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ لَا تُسْمِعْنِي وَسَمِّعِ اللهَ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw 'Abd Allah b. Hudhafah praying and he recited aloud, so he said: O 'Abd Allah, do not make me hear, but let Allah hear.
