✧ I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ on a journey. He said: Who will guard us tonight? I said: I will. He slept, the people slept, and I slept. We did not wake up except by the heat of the sun. He said: O people, these souls are on loan in the bodies of servants; He seizes them and releases them as He wills. So take care of your needs at your leisure. So we took care of our needs at our leisure, performed ablution, and the Prophet ﷺ performed ablution. He prayed the two rak'ahs of Fajr before the prayer, then led us in prayer.
