حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، نَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
أُتِيَ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ بِرَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، ؓ، فَوُضِعَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَجَعَلَ يَنْكُتُ بِقَضِيبٍ فِي يَدِهِ عَلَى أَسْنَانِهِ وَيَقُولُ: إِنْ كَانَ لَحَسَنَ الثَّغْرِ وَيَقُولُ: أَمَا وَاللهِ لَأَسُوءَنَّكَ. فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي قَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُقَبِّلُ مَوْضِعَ قَضِيبِكَ مِنْ فِيهِ
Translation

✧ The head of al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī ؓ was brought to ʿUbayd Allāh b. Ziyād and placed before him. He began poking at his teeth with a stick in his hand and saying: 'His teeth were certainly beautiful,' and saying: 'By God, I will surely harm you.' I said: 'Indeed, I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ kissing the place where your stick is on his mouth.'
