✧ I saw in what the sleeper sees as if the edge of my sword had broken, and as if I had mounted a ram behind me. I interpreted the breaking of my sword's edge as the killing of a man from my people, and my mounting a ram behind me as that I would kill the ram of the people. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ killed Ṭalḥah b. Abī Ṭalḥah — he was the standard-bearer of the polytheists — and Ḥamzah b. ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib was killed.
