حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْأُبُلِّيُّ، نَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ غَسَّانَ، نَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
تُعْرَضُ أَعْمَالُ بَنِي آدَمَ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِي صُحُفٍ مُخَتَّمَةٍ، فَيَقُولُ اللهُ: أَلْقُوا هَذَا، وَاقْبَلُوا هَذَا، فَتَقُولُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ: يَا رَبِّ، وَاللهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْهُ إِلَّا خَيْرًا، فَيَقُولُ اللهُ: إِنَّ عَمَلَهُ كَانَ لِغَيْرِ وَجْهِي، وَلَا أَقْبَلُ الْيَوْمَ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ إِلَّا مَا أُرِيدَ بِهِ وَجْهِي
Translation

✧ The deeds of the children of Adam will be presented before Allah on the Day of Resurrection in sealed scrolls. Then Allah will say: 'Cast this aside and accept this.' The angels will say: 'O Lord, by Allah, we saw nothing but good from him.' Allah will say: 'His deed was for other than My sake, and today I accept no deed except what was intended for My sake.'
