✧ Al-Ashtar and I went to Ali and said: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entrust to you anything that he did not entrust to the people in general? He said: No, except what is in this book of mine. He brought out a book from the sheath of his sword, and in it was: "The blood of Muslims is equal, and the lowest of them may undertake their protection. Indeed, a believer is not killed for a disbeliever, nor one who has a covenant while his covenant stands. Whoever commits a crime, it is against himself, and whoever shelters a criminal, upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all people."
