حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ. هَكَذَا وَجَدْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِي بِخَطِّي، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ - وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ - عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا قَالَ: عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ: مُوسَى بْنُ حَيَّانَ - لَا يُحْتَجُّ بَقَوْلِهِ - وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ لَيْسَ بِهِ بَأْسٌ صَدُوقٌ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِي بِخَطِّي عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ تَلَقَّاهُ جَوَارِي الْأَنْصَارِ فَجَعَلْنَ يَقُلْنَ: نَحْنُ جَوَارِي مِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ يَا حَبَّذَا مُحَمَّدٌ مِنْ جَارِ.

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived in Madinah, the slave girls of the Ansar met him, and they began to sing: 'We are slave girls from Banu al-Najjar; how wonderful is Muhammad as a neighbor!'
