✧ The Basrans from Anas

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَيَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَا: نَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، نَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَتَى مَنْزِلَ غُلَامٍ خَيَّاطٍ فَقَرَّبَ إِلَيْهِ قَصْعَةً فِيهَا ثَرِيدٌ وَعَلَيْهَا مِنَ الدُّبَّاءِ، فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَتَتَبَّعُ الدُّبَّاءَ، فَمَا زِلْتُ أُحِبُّ الدُّبَّاءَ مُنْذُ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ came to the house of a young tailor, and a bowl of tharid with gourd on it was brought near to him. The Prophet ﷺ began to pick out the gourd. I have loved gourd ever since that day.
