حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الرُّخَامِيُّ، نَا زَيْدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ:
أَيُّ الْخَلْقِ أَعْجَبُ إِيمَانًا ؟ قَالُوا: الْمَلَائِكَةُ، قَالَ: الْمَلَائِكَةُ كَيْفَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ؟ قَالَ: النَّبِيُّونَ، قَالَ: النَّبِيُّونَ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِمْ فَكَيْفَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ؟ قَالُوا: الصَّحَابَةُ، قَالَ: الصَّحَابَةُ يَكُونُونَ مَعَ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ، فَكَيْفَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ، وَلَكِنَّ أَعْجَبَ النَّاسِ إِيمَانًا: قَوْمٌ يَجِيئُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ، فَيَجِدُونَ كِتَابًا مِنَ الْوَحْيِ، فَيُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ، وَيَتَّبِعُونَهُ، فَهُمْ أَعْجَبُ النَّاسِ - أَوِ الْخَلْقِ - إِيمَانًا

✧ Which of creation is most amazing in faith? They said: The angels. He said: How could the angels not believe? They said: The prophets. He said: The prophets receive revelation, so how could they not believe? They said: The Companions. He said: The Companions are with the prophets, so how could they not believe? But the most amazing of people in faith are a people who will come after you, who will find a book of revelation and believe in it and follow it. They are the most amazing of people—or creation—in faith.
