حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
قَنَتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ شَهْرًا فِي صَلَاةٍ يَدْعُو عَلَى هَذِهِ الْأَحْيَاءِ ; رِعْلٍ وَذَكْوَانَ وَعُصَيَّةَ وَبَنِي لِحْيَانَ - قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي أَنَسٌ أَنَّهُمْ قَرَءُوا بِهِ قُرْآنًا: بَلِّغُوا قَوْمَنَا أَنَّا لَقِينَا رَبَّنَا فَرَضِيَ عَنَّا وَأَرْضَانَا

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ performed qunūt for a month in prayer, supplicating against these clans: Riʿl, Dhakwān, ʿUṣayyah, and Banū Liḥyān. He said: And Anas reported to me that they recited by it a Qurʾānic verse: “Convey to our people that we have met our Lord, and He was pleased with us and made us pleased.”
