نَا ابْنُ مُثَنَّى، نَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;
أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، عَنِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ، فَقَالَ: إِذَا رَأَتْ فِي مَنَامِهَا فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ وَاسْتَحْيَتْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ: أَيَكُونُ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَمِمَّ يَكُونُ الشَّبَهُ، إِنَّ مَاءَ الرَّجُلِ غَلِيظٌ أَبْيَضُ، وَمَاءَ الْمَرْأَةِ رَقِيقٌ أَصْفَرُ، فَأَيُّهُمَا عَلَا، أَوْ سَبَقَ، كَانَ مِنْهُ الشَّبَهُ
Translation

✧ Umm Sulaym asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees. He said: If she sees that in her dream, she should perform ghusl. Umm Salamah said, and she felt shy about it: Does that happen? He said: Yes, and from what does resemblance come? The man's fluid is thick and white, and the woman's fluid is thin and yellow. Whichever of them prevails or comes first, the resemblance comes from it.
