وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ وَعَمَّارُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ. وَحَبِيبُ بْنُ الشَّهِيدِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: أَنَّهُ

كَانَ يَخْطُبُ إِلَى جِذْعِ نَخْلَةٍ، فَلَمَّا اتَّخَذَ الْمِنْبَرَ تَحَوَّلَ إِلَيْهِ، فَحَنَّ، فَجَاءَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى احْتَضَنَهُ، فَسَكَنَ، قَالَ: لَوْ لَمْ أَحْتَضِنْهُ لَحَنَّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

Translation

✧ He used to deliver sermons while leaning on a palm trunk. When he adopted the pulpit, he moved to it, and the trunk yearned. The Messenger of God ﷺ came and embraced it, and it became still. He said, "If I had not embraced it, it would have continued to yearn until the Day of Resurrection."
