✧ The Basrans from Anas

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَا: نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، نَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

أَنَّ أَخَوَيْنِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ أَحَدُهُمَا يَأْتِي النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَالْآخَرُ يَحْتَرِفُ، فَشَكَا الْمُحْتَرِفُ أَخَاهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: لَعَلَّكَ إِنَّمَا تُرْزَقُ بِهِ

Translation

✧ There were two brothers during the time of the Messenger of God ﷺ. One of them used to come to the Prophet ﷺ while the other used to work. The working one complained about his brother to the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Perhaps you are only being provided for because of him."
