حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، نَا شُعْبَةُ، نَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

✧ Abu Talhah would hardly fast during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ - meaning voluntary fasts - because of military campaigns. After the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away, they did not see him break his fast except on Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr.
