✧ A Jewish woman gifted the Messenger of God ﷺ a roasted sheep. When he extended his hand to eat, the Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'A limb of its limbs informs me that it is poisoned.' So the Messenger of God ﷺ refrained, and those with him refrained. He sent for the Jewish woman and said: 'What induced you to spoil it after you had prepared it?' She said: 'I wanted to know if you were a prophet, for you would know that; and if you were not a prophet, I would relieve the people of you.'
