حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، نَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

مَا مِنْ نَفْسٍ تَمُوتُ لَهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَيْرٌ - يَسُرُّهَا أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِلَى الدُّنْيَا وَلَهَا الدُّنْيَا بِمَا فِيهَا، إِلَّا الشَّهِيدَ ; لِمَا يَرَى مِنْ فَضْلِ الشَّهَادَةِ، يَسُرُّهُ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فَيُقْتَلَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى

Translation

✧ There is no soul that dies and has good with Allah, Mighty and Majestic, that would be pleased to return to this world even if it had the world and all that is in it—except the martyr, because of what he sees of the virtue of martyrdom; he would be pleased to return and be killed another time.
