  • al-Ḍiyāʾ al-Maqdisī

machine translationAl-Nasāʾī narrated it in al-Nuʿūt and in ʿAmal al-Yawm wa-l-Laylah, from ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī, from Khalaf b. Tamīm; and from Ṣafwān b. ʿAmr, from Aḥmad b. Khālid; both of them from Isrāʾīl. Al-Dāraquṭnī was asked about it, and he mentioned that Ḥasan and ʿAlī, the two sons of Ṣāliḥ, and Yūsuf b. Isḥāq b. Abī Isḥāq narrated it from Abū Isḥāq, from ʿAmr b. Murrah, from ʿAbdullāh b. Salamah. The closest of these to the correct position is the statement of those who said: from Abū Isḥāq, from ʿAmr b. Murrah. And the statement of Isrāʾīl, from Abū Isḥāq, from Ibn Abī Laylā, from ʿAlī, is not to be rejected.
