حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، نَا هَانِئُ بْنُ الْمُتَوَكِّلِ، نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ اسْتَوْجَبَ الثَّوَابَ وَاسْتَكْمَلَ الْإِيمَانَ: خُلُقٌ يَعِيشُ بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ، وَوَرَعٌ يَحْجِزُهُ عَنْ مَحَارِمِ اللهِ، وَحِلْمٌ يَرُدُّ بِهِ جَهْلَ الْجَاهِلِ
Translation

✧ Three [traits]—whoever has them deserves the reward and completes faith: a character by which he lives among people, piety that restrains him from what Allah has forbidden, and forbearance by which he repels the ignorance of the ignorant.
