✧ When it was Monday—the day on which the Messenger of God ﷺ passed away—and the door was opened, the Messenger of God ﷺ came out until he stood at the door of Aisha ؓ. The Muslims almost became entranced with joy at seeing the Messenger of God ﷺ, and they dispersed. He gestured to them: remain in your prayer. The Messenger of God ﷺ smiled with delight at what he saw of their state in their prayer. I never saw the Messenger of God ﷺ more beautiful in appearance than he was at that hour. Then he returned, and the people departed thinking that the Messenger of God ﷺ had recovered from his illness. Abu Bakr went back to his family.
