حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، نَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، نَا فُلَيْحٌ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَبَّابًا، وَلَا لَعَّانًا، وَلَا فَاحِشًا، كَانَ يَقُولُ لِأَحَدِنَا عِنْدَ الْمُعَاتَبَةِ: مَا لَهُ تَرِبَ جَبِينُهُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was not one who reviled others, nor cursed, nor was obscene. When he reproached one of us, he would say: 'What is the matter with him? May his forehead be rubbed in dust.'
