✧ The martyrs are three: A man who went out with his life and wealth, seeking reward in the path of Allah, not wanting to kill or be killed or fight, but to increase the numbers of the Muslims. If he dies or is killed, all his sins are forgiven him, and he is protected from the punishment of the grave, and secured from the greatest terror, and married to the wide-eyed houris, and the garment of honor is placed on him, and the crown of dignity and eternity is placed on his head. The second: A man who went out with his life and wealth, seeking reward, wanting to be killed and not to kill. If he dies or is killed, his knee will be with the knee of Ibrahim, the Friend of the Merciful, before Allah, Blessed and Exalted, in a seat of truth near an Omnipotent Sovereign. The third: A man who went out with his life and wealth, seeking reward, wanting to kill and be killed. If he dies or is killed, he will come on the Day of Resurrection brandishing his sword, placing it on his shoulder, while the people are kneeling on their knees, saying, 'Make way for us, for we have sacrificed our blood for Allah, Blessed and Exalted.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'By the One in whose hand is my soul, if he said it to Ibrahim, the Friend of the Merciful, or to any prophet among the prophets, they would move aside from the path for them, because of the obligation of their right that he sees, until they come to pulpits of light on the right of the Throne, and sit on them, watching how judgment is passed among the people. They do not feel the agony of death, nor do they remain in the barzakh, nor does the shout frighten them, nor do the reckoning, the scales, or the bridge concern them. They watch how judgment is passed among the people, and they do not ask for anything but they are given it, and they do not intercede for anything but they are granted intercession in it. They are given from Paradise whatever they love, and they take their abode in Paradise wherever they love.'
