✧ When Ibn ʿUmar went to his bed, he would say: “O Allah, You created my soul and You take it. To You belongs its death and its life. O Allah, if You take it, forgive it, and if You return it, protect it. O Allah, I ask You for well-being.” A man from his children said: “Did Ibn ʿUmar say this?” He said: “Rather, someone better than Ibn ʿUmar used to say this.”
