✧ Abu Bakr (may God have mercy on him) brought Abu Quhafa, leading him to the Messenger of God ﷺ, an elderly blind man, on the day of the conquest of Makkah. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Why did you not leave the old man so that we could come to him?' He said: 'I wanted, O Messenger of God, for God to reward him. By the One who sent you with the truth, I was more overjoyed at the conversion of Abu Talib than at the conversion of my father, seeking thereby the delight of your eye.' He said: 'You have spoken the truth.'
