✧ From the hadith of Salim from b. Umar

وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِسْكِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، نَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ. وَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ قَالَا: نَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ مَاشِيَةٍ، وَلَا كَلْبِ صَيْدٍ، فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ. وَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ بُكَيْرٍ: كَلْبُ صَيْدٍ، أَوْ كَلْبُ مَاشِيَةٍ

Translation

✧ Whoever keeps a dog that is not a dog for livestock or a hunting dog, two qirats are deducted from his reward every day. And in the hadith of Bukayr he said: a hunting dog, or a dog for livestock.
