✧ Ibn Umar used to supplicate with these supplications and claimed that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate with them: 'O Allah, apportion to us today such fear of You as will come between us and acts of disobedience to You, and such obedience to You as will bring us to Your mercy, and such certainty as will make the calamities of this world easy for us to bear. O Allah, let us enjoy our hearing and sight and make them remain with us until death, and make our vengeance upon those who have wronged us, and help us against those who are hostile to us. Do not make our affliction in our religion, and do not make this world our greatest concern, and do not give power over us to those who will not show us mercy.'
