حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، نَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ الْخُرَاسَانِيُّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

اسْتَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْحَجَرَ فَاسْتَلَمَهُ ثُمَّ وَضَعَ شَفَتَيْهِ عَلَيْهِ يَبْكِي طَوِيلًا، فَالْتَفَتَ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِعُمَرَ يَبْكِي، فَقَالَ: يَا عُمَرُ، هَاهُنَا تُسْكَبُ الْعَبَرَاتُ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ faced the Black Stone, touched it, then placed his lips upon it, weeping for a long time. He turned and saw 'Umar weeping, so he said: 'O 'Umar, here tears are shed.'
