حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ، وَلَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، قَالَ:

مَنْ حَلَفَ فَقَالَ: إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ، فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ، إِنْ شَاءَ مَضَى عَلَى يَمِينِهِ، وَإِنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ فَلَا حَرَجَ

Translation

✧ Whoever swears an oath and says, 'If Allah wills,' has the choice: if he wishes, he may proceed with his oath, and if he wishes to go back, there is no blame on him.
