وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الصُّدَائِيُّ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

أَصْبَحَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَحَفْصَةُ صَائِمَتَيْنِ، فَأُهْدِيَ لَهُمَا طَعَامٌ فَأَفْطَرَتَا، فَدَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَسَأَلَتْهُ إِحْدَاهُمَا، أَحْسِبُهَا حَفْصَةَ، فَقَالَ: اقْضِيَا يَوْمًا مَكَانَهُ

✧ A’ishah and Hafsah woke up fasting, and food was gifted to them, so they broke their fast. The Prophet ﷺ entered and one of them asked him—I think it was Hafsah—and he said: “Make up a day in its place.”
