وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، وَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ، أَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:

مَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ مَثَلُ الشَّاةِ الْعَائِرَةِ بَيْنَ الْغَنَمَيْنِ، تَفِيءُ إِلَى هَؤُلَاءِ مَرَّةً، وَإِلَى هَؤُلَاءِ مَرَّةً، لَا تَدْرِي أَيَّهُمَا تَتْبَعُ

✧ The likeness of the hypocrite is the likeness of a sheep wandering between two flocks; it inclines to these once and to those once, not knowing which of them to follow.
