✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ stood at Arafah and said: "This is Arafah, and it is the standing place." Then he departed when the sun had set, with Usamah riding behind him. He proceeded at his easy pace while the people were striking right and left, and he did not turn to them, saying: "O people, you must be calm." Then he came to Muzdalifah and prayed the two prayers together. When morning came, he came to Quzah and stood, saying: "This is Quzah, and it is a standing place, and all of Muzdalifah is a standing place." Then he departed, and when he reached the top of Muhassir, he struck his she-camel and she trotted until he crossed the valley, then he stopped and mounted al-Fadl behind him. Then he came to the jamrah and threw pebbles, then he came to the place of sacrifice and said: "This is the place of sacrifice, and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice." A young girl came to him and said: My father is an old man who has become senile, and God's obligation of Hajj has caught up with him; will it suffice for me to perform Hajj on his behalf? He said: "Perform Hajj on behalf of your father." He turned al-Fadl's neck away. Al-Abbas said: Why did you turn the neck of your cousin? He said: "I saw a young man and a young woman and did not trust Satan regarding them." A man came to him and said: O Messenger of God, I departed before shaving. He said: "Shave or shorten, and no harm." A man came to him and said: O Messenger of God, I slaughtered before throwing. He said: "Throw, and no harm." Then he came to the House and circumambulated, then he came to Zamzam and said: "O Banu Abd al-Muttalib, your water-giving; were it not that the people would overwhelm you, I would draw water with it."
