وَنَاهُ مُؤَمَّلٌ، نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَبَّقَ بَيْنَ الْخَيْلِ فَأَرْسَلَ مَا ضُمِّرَ مِنْهَا مِنَ الْحَفْيَاءِ إِلَى ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَأَرْسَلَ مَا لَمْ يُضَمَّرْ مِنْهَا مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Ismāʿīl b. Ibrāhīm
  2. Ayyūb
  3. Nāfiʿ
  4. Ibn ʿUmar

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ held a race between horses, sending those that had been trained from al-Hafya' to Thaniyyat al-Wada', and sending those that had not been trained from Thaniyyat al-Wada' to the mosque of Banu Zurayq.
