حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا صِلَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ؓ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:

مَنْ حَجَّ عَنْ وَالِدَيْهِ، أَوْ قَضَى عَنْهُمَا دَيْنًا بُعِثَ مَعَ الْأَبْرَارِ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Muḥammad b. Ḥarb al-Wāsiṭī
  2. Ṣilah b. Sulaymān
  3. Ibn Jurayj
  4. ʿAṭāʾ
  5. Ibn ʿAbbās
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Whoever performs Hajj on behalf of his parents or settles a debt on their behalf will be resurrected among the righteous.
