machine translationQays is weak (ḍaʿīf) because of his memory.
in مسند البزار, p. 5098 - Abū al-Ḥasan Nur al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Abi Bakr al-Haythamī
machine translationIn it is Qays b. al-Rabīʿ. Shuʿbah and al-Thawrī declared him trustworthy (wuththiqa), but Aḥmad, despite his scrupulousness, and Ibn Maʿīn declared him weak (ḍaʿīf). This hadith contradicts the authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) hadith, the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: "I am the closest of people to ʿĪsā b. Maryam. The prophets are paternal brothers, and there is no prophet between him and me."
in مسند البزار, p. 5098 - Bazzār
machine translationThis hadith was narrated by al-Thawrī from Sālim al-Afṭas from Saʿīd b. Jubayr as a mursal report, and Qays gave it a connected chain (asnadahu). We have not heard anyone narrate it from Muḥammad b. al-Ṣalt except Yaḥyā b. Muʿallā. This hadith is only known from the hadith of al-Kalbī from Abū Ṣāliḥ from Ibn ʿAbbās: that the daughter of Khālid b. Sinān entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said: "Welcome to the daughter of a prophet whom his people lost."
