  • Bazzār

machine translationWe do not know this hadith to be narrated except from Ibn ʿAbbās. It has been narrated from ʿAbbād b. Manṣūr, from ʿIkrimah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, and from Yaʿqūb, from Layth, from Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿAbbās. The narration of Yaʿqūb from Layth, from Mujāhid, from Ibn ʿAbbās is better than the narration of ʿAbbād from ʿIkrimah, because ʿAbbād did not hear from ʿIkrimah.

  • Abū al-Ḥasan Nur al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Abi Bakr al-Haythamī

machine translationIn it is Layth b. Abī Sulaym, who is trustworthy (thiqah), but he is a concealer of defects in the chain (mudallis).
