48 48 - حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: نَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ:
نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ سُبَيْعٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ. وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ فَلَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، وَيَرَوْنَ إِنَّمَا سَمِعَهُ مِنِ ابْنِ شَوْذَبٍ، أَوْ بَلَغَهُ عَنْهُ فَحَدَّثَ بِهِ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، وَكَانَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، قَدْ تَحَدَّثَ عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ يُرْسِلُ عَنْهُمْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْهُمْ، وَلَمْ يَقُلْ

✧ Sa'id b. Abi 'Arubah narrated to us, from Abu al-Tayyah, from al-Mughirah b. Subay', from 'Amr b. Hurayth, from Abu Bakr, from the Prophet ﷺ, similarly. Sa'id b. Abi 'Arubah did not hear from Abu al-Tayyah. They think he only heard it from Ibn Shawdhab, or it reached him from him and he narrated it from Abu al-Tayyah. Ibn Abi 'Arubah used to narrate from a group, sending from them without hearing from them, and he did not say.
