حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ:
أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: إِنَّ عَلَى أُمِّي رَقَبَةً وَعِنْدِي أَمَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: ائْتِنِي بِهَا، فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ: أَتَشْهَدِينَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ ؟ قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: فَأَعْتِقْهَا

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: My mother owes a slave and I have a black slave woman. The Prophet ﷺ said: Bring her to me. The Messenger of God said to her: Do you testify that there is no god but God and that I am the Messenger of God? She said: Yes. He said: Then free her.
