وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ يَسْتَفْتِيهِ فِي الَّذِي يَحْرُمُ عَلَيْهِ وَالَّذِي يَحِلُّ لَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أُحِلَّ لَكَ الطَّيِّبَاتُ وَحُرِّمَ عَلَيْكَ الْخَبَائِثُ إِلَّا أَنْ تُضْطَرَّ إِلَى طَعَامٍ لَا يَحِلُّ لَكَ فَتَأْكُلَ مِنْهُ حَتَّى تَسْتَغْنِيَ

Translation

✧ A man from the Bedouins came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ asking him for a ruling about what is forbidden for him and what is lawful for him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Lawful for you are good things, and forbidden for you are impure things, unless you are compelled to eat food that is not lawful for you, then eat from it until you are no longer in need.'
