حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

" أَرْبَعٌ أَفْضَلُ الْكَلَامِ، لَا يَضُرُّكَ بِأَيِّهِنَّ بَدَأْتَ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ، وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَاللهُ أَكْبَرُ

Translation

  5. Hilāl b. Yasāf
  6. Samurah b. Jundub
  7. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ Four are the best of speech, and it does not harm you with whichever of them you begin: Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah), wal-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah), wa la ilaha illa Allah (there is no god but Allah), wa Allahu akbar (and Allah is the Greatest).
