وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ: نَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:

" الْقُضَاةُ ثَلَاثَةٌ: اثْنَانِ فِي النَّارِ، وَوَاحِدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، قَاضٍ قَضَى بِجَوْرٍ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ، وَقَاضٍ قَضَى بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ فَهُوَ فِي النَّارِ، وَقَاضٍ بِالْحَقِّ فَهُوَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

✧ “Judges are of three types: two are in the Fire and one is in Paradise. A judge who rules unjustly is in the Fire. A judge who rules without knowledge is in the Fire. A judge who rules with truth is in Paradise.”
