In their own words, as Hadith Unlocked records them. They are shown, not summarised into a grade.

machine translationThis is not in the hadith of ʿUthmān from the Prophet ﷺ. Rather, Abū ʿUthmān narrated it from Salmān as his own statement.

    in مسند البزار, p. 420
  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationThis hadith has no basis in the hadith of Shuʿbah as a raised report (marfūʿ), and Ḥajjāj's hadith was abandoned because of this hadith.

    in مسند البزار, p. 420
  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationShuʿbah narrated it, and there is disagreement about it from him. Al-Ḥajjāj b. Naṣīr narrated it from Shuʿbah, from al-ʿAwwām b. Murājim, from Abū ʿUthmān, from ʿUthmān, from the Prophet ﷺ, and he erred in it. Ghundar contradicted him and narrated it from Shuʿbah, from al-ʿAwwām b. Murājim, from Abū l-Salīl, from Abū ʿUthmān, from Salmān as a statement of a Companion (mawqūf), and this is correct.

    in مسند البزار, p. 420

machine translationAl-Ḥajjāj b. Naṣīr has hadiths and reports from his teachers, and I do not know of anything objectionable (munkar) from him other than what I have mentioned. Apart from what I mentioned, he is sound (ṣāliḥ).

    in مسند البزار, p. 420
