✧ "My cistern extends from 'Adan to 'Amman of al-Balqa'. Its water is sweeter than honey, more fragrant than musk, and whiter than milk. Its vessels are more numerous than the stars of the sky. Whoever drinks a single drink from it will never thirst again." It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, who will be the first of people to come to you at it?" He said: "The emigrants with disheveled hair and dusty clothes, who do not marry pampered women, and for whom closed doors will not be opened."

machine translationAbū Zurʿah said: Thus Muṣʿab narrated it, but it is really from Abū Sallām, from Thawbān, from the Prophet ﷺ. And my father said: I do not know it from the hadith of ʿAbdullāh b. al-ʿAlāʾ b. Zabr. But Yaḥyā b. al-Ḥārith, Shaybah b. al-Aḥnaf, Shaddād Abū Muḥammad and ʿAbbās b. Sālim all narrated it from Abū Sallām, from Thawbān, from the Prophet ﷺ, concerning the Pond (al-ḥawḍ), and that is the sound (ṣaḥīḥ) version.
