وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُخَرِّمِيُّ قَالَ: نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ: نَا الْمُفَضَّلُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُهَلْهَلٍ، عَنْ بَيَانٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، وَقَالَ:

كُنْتُ مَعَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، فَقُلْتُ: لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ أَجْمَعَ الْعَامَ بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ، فَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ النَّخَعِيُّ: لَوْ كَانَ أَبُوكَ لَمْ يَهُمَّ بِذَلِكَ، وَقَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ: إِنَّمَا كَانَتِ الْمُتْعَةُ لَنَا رُخْصَةً

✧ I was with Ibrahim al-Nakha'i and Ibrahim al-Taymi, and I said: I have resolved to combine Hajj and 'Umrah this year. Ibrahim al-Nakha'i said: If your father were here, he would not have resolved to do that. And Ibrahim al-Taymi said, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Dharr: Mut'ah was only a concession for us.
