✧ I saw Abu Dharr wearing a fine garment while his slave wore the same, so I asked him about that. He mentioned that he had insulted a man during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, reviling him due to his mother. The man went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him about that. The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Indeed you are a man in whom there is some pre-Islamic ignorance. Your brothers and your servants are those whom Allah has placed under your authority. So whoever has his brother under his authority should feed him from what he eats, clothe him from what he wears, and not burden them with what overwhelms them. If you burden them, then help them.'
