حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، رَحِمَهُ اللهُ لَمَّا اسْتُخْلِفَ بَعَثَهُ إِلَى الْبَحْرَيْنِ وَكَتَبَ لَهُ هَذَا الْكِتَابَ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، هَذِهِ فَرِيضَةُ الصَّدَقَةِ الَّتِي فَرَضَهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ الَّتِي أَمَرَ اللهُ بِهَا رَسُولَهُ فَمَنْ سُئِلَهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى وَجْهِهَا فَلْيُعْطِهَا، وَمَنْ سُئِلَ فَوْقَهَا فَلَا يُعْطِهَا، فِي أَرْبَعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ فَمَا دُونَهَا، فِي خَمْسٍ: شَاةٌ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ إِلَى خَمْسٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ فَفِيهَا ابْنَةُ مَخَاضٍ، فَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنِ ابْنَةُ مَخَاضٍ، فَابْنُ لَبُونٍ ذَكَرٌ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ سِتًّا وَثَلَاثِينَ إِلَى خَمْسٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ فَفِيهَا بِنْتُ لَبُونٍ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ سِتًّا وَأَرْبَعِينَ إِلَى سِتِّينَ فَفِيهَا حِقَّةٌ إِلَى سِتِّينَ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ إِحْدَى وَسِتِّينَ فَفِيهَا جَذَعَةٌ إِلَى خَمْسٍ وَسَبْعِينَ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ سِتًّا وَسَبْعِينَ فَفِيهَا ابْنَتَا لَبُونٍ إِلَى تِسْعِينَ، فَإِذَا بَلَغَتْ وَاحِدًا وَتِسْعِينَ إِلَى عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ فَفِيهَا حِقَّتَانِ، طَرُوقَتَا الْجَمَلِ، فَإِذَا زَادَتْ عَلَى عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ فَفِي كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ: بِنْتُ لَبُونٍ، وَفِي كُلِّ خَمْسِينَ حِقَّةٌ، وَمَنْ بَلَغَتْ صَدَقَتُهُ جَذَعَةً وَلَيْسَتْ عِنْدَهُ جَذَعَةٌ، وَعِنْدَهُ حِقَّةٌ فَإِنَّهَا تُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ وَيَجْعَلُ مَعَهَا شَاتَيْنِ إِنِ اسْتَيْسَرَ عَلَيْهِ أَوْ عِشْرِينَ دِرْهَمًا، وَمَنْ بَلَغَتْ صَدَقَتُهُ حِقَّةً وَلَيْسَتْ عِنْدَهُ حِقَّةٌ وَعِنْدَهُ جَذَعَةٌ فَإِنَّهَا تُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ جَذَعَةٌ وَيُعْطِيهِ الْمُصَدِّقُ عِشْرِينَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ شَاتَيْنِ، وَمَنْ بَلَغَتْ صَدَقَتُهُ الْحِقَّةَ وَلَيْسَتْ عِنْدَهُ إِلَّا ابْنَةُ لَبُونٍ، فَإِنَّهَا تُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ وَيُعْطِي لِلْمُصَدِّقِ شَاتَيْنِ أَوْ عِشْرِينَ دِرْهَمًا، وَمَنْ بَلَغَتْ صَدَقَتُهُ بِنْتَ لَبُونٍ وَعِنْدَهُ حِقَّةٌ فَإِنَّهَا تُقْبَلُ مِنْهُ الْحِقَّةُ وَيُعْطِيهِ الْمُصَدِّقُ شَاتَيْنِ، أَوْ عِشْرِينَ دِرْهَمًا، وَقَالَ: لَيْسَ فِي الْغَنَمِ صَدَقَةٌ فِي سَائِمَتِهَا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ أَرْبَعِينَ، وَلَا فِي زِيَادَتِهَا حَتَّى تَبْلُغَ مِائَةً وَعِشْرِينَ فَإِذَا زَادَتْ وَاحِدَةً عَلَى عِشْرِينَ وَمِائَةٍ فَفِيهَا شَاتَانِ إِلَى مِائَتَيْنِ، فَإِذَا زَادَتْ عَلَى الْمِائَتَيْنِ فَفِيهَا ثَلَاثُ شِيَاهٍ إِلَى ثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ، فَإِذَا زَادَتْ عَلَى ثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ فَفِي كُلِّ مِائَةِ شَاةٍ شَاةٌ

✧ That Abu Bakr, may Allah have mercy on him, when he was appointed caliph, sent him to Bahrain and wrote for him this document: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is the obligatory charity that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ imposed on the Muslims, which Allah commanded His Messenger. Whoever among the believers is asked for it in its proper manner, let him give it. Whoever is asked above it, let him not give it. For twenty-four camels or less: for every five, a sheep. When they reach twenty-five up to thirty-five, there is a yearling female camel (bint makhad). If there is no yearling female camel, then a two-year-old male camel (ibn labun). When they reach thirty-six up to forty-five, there is a two-year-old female camel (bint labun). When they reach forty-six up to sixty, there is a three-year-old female camel (hiqqah) up to sixty. When they reach sixty-one, there is a four-year-old female camel (jadha'ah) up to seventy-five. When they reach seventy-six, there are two two-year-old female camels (bint labun) up to ninety. When they reach ninety-one up to one hundred and twenty, there are two three-year-old female camels (hiqqah), able to be mounted by a male camel. When they exceed one hundred and twenty, in every forty there is a two-year-old female camel, and in every fifty there is a three-year-old female camel. If someone's charity reaches a jadha'ah and he does not have a jadha'ah, but he has a hiqqah, it is accepted from him and he gives along with it two sheep if it is easy for him, or twenty dirhams. If someone's charity reaches a hiqqah and he does not have a hiqqah, but he has a jadha'ah, it is accepted from him as a jadha'ah, and the collector gives him twenty dirhams or two sheep. If someone's charity reaches a hiqqah and he has nothing but a bint labun, it is accepted from him, and he gives the collector two sheep or twenty dirhams. If someone's charity reaches a bint labun and he has a hiqqah, the hiqqah is accepted from him, and the collector gives him two sheep or twenty dirhams. He said: There is no charity on grazing sheep until they reach forty, nor on their increase until they reach one hundred and twenty. When they increase by one over one hundred and twenty, there are two sheep up to two hundred. When they exceed two hundred, there are three sheep up to three hundred. When they exceed three hundred, in every hundred sheep there is one sheep.
