✧ To swear several times that Ibn Ṣāʾid is the Dajjāl is dearer to me than to swear once that he is not. A child was born among the Jews, and the Prophet ﷺ sent to his mother asking how long she had carried him. I asked her, and she said, 'Twelve months.' I came to him and informed him, and he said, 'Ask her about his cry when he fell to the ground.' She said, 'A word that has left me.' The Prophet ﷺ said to him, 'I have hidden something for you; what is it?' He said, 'The matter of ʿAfrāʾ and al-dukhān (smoke) is great.' Whenever he wanted to say 'al-dukhān,' he could not, so he said, 'al-dukhkh.' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'Be off! You will never outstrip the decree.'
