✧ Amr b. Bujdan, from Abu Dharr, from the Prophet ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ وَرْدَانَ، وَبِشْرُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، قَالَا: نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعِ قَالَ: نَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ بُجْدَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

الصَّعِيدُ الطَّيِّبُ وَضُوءُ الْمُسْلِمِ أَوِ الْمُؤْمِنِ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدِ الْمَاءَ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ، فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللهَ وَلْيَمَسَّ بَشَرَتَهُ - أَوْ قَالَ - جِلْدَهُ الْمَاءُ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ هُوَ خَيْرٌ

✧ Clean earth is the ablution of the Muslim—or the believer—even if he does not find water for ten years. When he finds it, let him fear God and let the water touch his skin—or he said—his body, for that is better.
